This is the first monograph on Soriano, illustrated primarily with black-and-white photographs by respected architectural photographer Julius Shulman, a long-time friend university of california in los angeles and colleague. Born in Rhodes, Soriano brought an outsider's perspective when he arrived in Los Angeles with little grasp of English in 1924, at the age of 17.
